Surrounded by a huge park, which can be seen from the numerous windows of the building, this villa, built in Rome (the exclusive EUR suburb) in the 1970s, has the simplicity of modern style. This fine building is only five minutes away from the center of the city (Eur Fermi underground stop). The original plan has two distinct and autonomous areas: daytime and sleeping areas. The dining room, living room and kitchen are located on the first floor, the bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor. The owners, who love to have guests in their home, prefer big rooms, so, the dining room and the living room are large, painted with brilliant colors and equipped with furniture that includes contemporary paintings, comfortable stuffed armchairs in the conversation corner and a large table placed right in the front. Next to the living room and the dining room there is a kitchen with all the modern comforts, animated by the housekeeper who is the essence of this house. Wide French windows face the balcony and the garden, where breakfast is served in fine weather. This elegant house harmonizes the new daytime area with the old entrance area which is furnished with antique furniture and paintings. From here we can go up to the sleeping area where the white, blue and red colors, together with the warm color of the parquet floor, accompany the guests’ dreams. The upper floor is divided into four cozy rooms with bathroom, of which one has a small balcony that has a nice view of the garden underneath, all equipped with air conditioning and TV. The house, protected by tall pine-trees, is located on slightly sloping ground. The warm and simple rooms are equipped with furniture and objects which have life and history of their own.
